Selma High School is centrally located on a 43-acre tract of land. The facilities are comprised of several buildings, with the main building, which was built in 1939, serving as the hub and main entrance of the school, and three additional buildings. The East Wing was built in 1957 and houses the ninth and tenth graders. The vocational buildings were build in the late 1970’s and house vocational programs. The Math and Science Wing was built in 1988 and houses mathematics and science classes. Selma High School is located on the main street near the heart of the City. This makes it very accessible to students and parents. It is well-paved and has adequately marked roadways and parking lots. To ensure greater security at the school, personnel have increased to three full-time security guard. Metal detectors are used daily to check for weapons and students carry see-through book bags. In addition, students are required to adhere to a strict uniform dress code. The entire back perimeter and the north side of the campus is fenced and an over-walk has been build on Franklin Street for safety.
